Question:   Can the voltage regulator circuitry of a certified module be removed and placed on the host device? The grantee will  be the only one implementing the module into the host equipment.
If this change is not permissible, can the grantee get a new certification for limited modular approval for use with the regulator design on the host?

Answer:   No.  A certified module can not be changed from modular approval to limited modular approval and the grantee cannot change the circuitry.

Yes. The device may be certified as a limited modular approval under a new FCC identifier with the conditions that only the manufacture be able to use the module with the approved regulator on the host device.
