FRN Passwords

  1. What is a password, and why is a password required?
  2. Because your FRN is public information, the password for the associated FCC Username Account ensures that only an authorized person can gain access or make a modification to your FRN data. Your password is confidential and case sensitive. It should be a mix of 12 to 15 letters, numbers, and special characters and have at least 3 of the 4 conditions: 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number and/or 1 punctuation/special character.

  3. Where do I get my password?
  4. If you register via the Internet, you must select a valid email address to use as a username and a password that is be a mix of 12 to 15 letters, numbers, and special characters and have at least 3 of the 4 conditions: 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number and/or 1 punctuation/special character. Once you verify your email address, your uUername Account is activated and will allow you to access the CORES system.

If you register for an FRN by mail, the system automatically assigns your FRN-Password. A confirmation letter will be mailed to your contact address identifying your FRN-Password and FRN. You subsequently can modify the password online by registering for a Username using the User Registration web site.

If you are one of the ULS entities that were selected for pre-registration a letter was mailed to your ULS contact indicating your FRN and FRN-Password (see registration FAQs for more information). ULS and FRN passwords were synchronized as of Dec. 3, 2001.
