Hi Folks, I would like to suggest a change to the STC procedure. Under current policy/procedures a device can be placed under STC for nearly 1/2 a year. But at the same time FCC can only (easily) dismiss a TCB Grant within the first 30 days of Grant Date. This allows a device to be held Confidential and away from public scrutiny for nearly five months after Grant Date. In cases where a device is hazardous, not suitable or improperly certified it allows applicants to avoid public scrutiny untill well after FCC can easily dismiss a Grant. Therefore, I would like to suggest that FCC initiate a change which will allow the easy 30 day period for dismissal to begin only when STC expires. Who knows: it may worth considering that withholdong information on a particular product from public view for so long a period of time violates the Freedom of Information Act. Best Regards, Bill Graff
