Question and remark about new draft PBA list (388624 D02 Permit But Ask List v10) and clause a) i) a)EMC/Radio Parameters: i. Devices applying or aggregating multiple carriers in single or multiple frequency bands. It seems that this item that has been introduced on the draft PBA list is very broad in its scope and affects items that have been into the market for a long time. It is understandable that it might be concerns with equipment that uses aggregated technology in multiple frequency bands and especially in portable equipment were there are SAR issues. But since the scope of a)i) is broad it also affects equipment that uses multiple carriers in a single frequency band. These types of equipment have been on the market for the long time and it is hard to see the concerns and rationale why these should be included on the PBA list. As an example of such equipment is the downlink equipment in the cellular networks. The cellular radio base stations have been using multi carrier operation for a long time. It is suggested that you narrow the scope of a)i) to reduce the impact on equipment that has been for a long time on the market without any known interference issues.
