Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
SRC Inc., has requested an Experimental License for the operation of the Persistent Systems MPU5radios. The purpose of the use of the MPU5 radios is for networking two nodes into a terrestrialstand-alone network. SRC hopes the use of these radios will provide a high-performance wirelessnetworking capability in supporting nodes that perform passive radio direction finding function. Testingthe performance of these radios falls under 47 CFR § 5.3(d) to network two passive direction findingnodes. The MPU5 radios offer a mobile computing platform that allows the ability to plug sensors directlyinto the MPU5 to process and distribute data without additional hardware. One of the novel technologiesthe MPU5 radios have is, they are powered by the Wave Relay® MANET, which allows a distributedand decentralized group of fully mobile users to communicate continuously and efficiently without theneed for fixed infrastructure or MAC-level timing. Another innovative approach used by the MPU5 radiois a 3x3 MIMO technology. The use of MIMO allows for more robust resistance to fading, better range, speed and reliability than traditional approaches. We hope to realize the benefits of this technologythrough the use of our Experimental License.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The purpose of the use of the MPU5 radios is to provide a wireless communications link between nodes. We will be using the frequencies while stationary while occasionally moving the transmitter to different locations (transportable fixed) within our radius of operation.

Section 862, because of a conviction for possession or distribution of a controlled substance. The applicant hereby waives any claim to the use of any particular frequency or electromagnetic spectrum as against the regulatory power of the United States because of the prvious use of the same, whether by license or otherwise, and requests authorization in accordance with this application. (See Section 304 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.) The applicant acknowledges that all statements made in this application and attached exhibits are considered material representations, and that all the exhibits part hereof and are incorporated herein as if set out in full in this application; undersigned certifies that all statements in this application are true, complete and correct to the best of his/her knowledge and belief and are made in good faith. Applicant certifies that construction of the station would NOT be an action which is likely to have a significant environmental effect. See the Commission's Rules, 47 CFR1.1301-1.1319.
