This STA covers testing of an experimental radar in an aircraft test. The radar is for a satellite system, but a short airborne test is needed to test the custom electronics. The spacecraft radar operation is covered by a separate FCC filing (0066-EX-CN-2018).

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The radar will periodically transmit short bursts of electromagnetic waves towards the ground. Reflected versions of these bursts will be recorded by the radar and stored for post-processing. This operation will occur over the area in which the aircraft operates. The nominal height above ground (AGL) of the aircraft will be 6500 ft.
