Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary: We are load/stress testing experimental GSM base stations equipment/software in a close to real world environment with standard GSM handsets.

Purpose of Operation

Please explain the purpose of operation:

Testing GSM network. Test users will be notified in writing that the system is experimental and can be monitored by the personnel conducting the test. The test will be limited to only the Test users opting in to the test by the issuing of special SIM cards allowing their handsets to join the network. The test will consist of the Test Users taking/placing calls and send text messages to other tests users. Test users will not be charged for use of the test network. The test coincides with the ToorCamp Conference, which is providing the pool of test users and the test area. The conference provides a ideal pool of knowledgeable test users who can stress and evaluate the system in a novel fashion.
