Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The proposed experimentation and demonstration were expected to take place from Dec. 1 through January 31, but no longer. However, the program needs to extend its operations because the early testing raised numerous additional questions requiring further testing.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Demonstrate the effectiveness of using solid state W band technology for improving high-bandwidth point-to-point communications in harsh environments. The purpose of the operation is to experiment with and demonstrate the effectiveness of using solid state W band technology for improving high-bandwidth point-to-point communications in harsh environments.
