Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is requested by 13 February to operate, demonstrate and verify new radar technology to meet domestic border security requirements. This demonstration/verification has been requested by USA state law enforcement officials. An STA is being requested because of the short duration of the required testing.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Verification of performance of new radar technology for domestic border security for state officials. Data of this improved radar sensor will be used to show performance improvements compared to current operating sensors used by state law enforcement officials for border security.
