Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The Radar operates outside frequencies/power that an unlicensed individual or organization can legally operate

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Evaluation of the developed cUAS system that employs the Fortem RT20 radar. Previously completed development of a counter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) solution under a United States Marine Corps contract that employs the Fortem R20 radar to detect and track target UAV. Now invited to participate in a US government evaluation of the developed cUAS system that employs the Fortem RT20 radar. This effort is not formally contracted, but is participation in a an evaluation conducted by the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) on behalf of the Joint Office for counter small UAV (JCO). A copy of the formal request to participant in this evaluation received by email after responding to a formal government solicitation is available upon request, along with the AFRL point of contact. Our participation in the evaluation is currently scheduled for November 7-11, 2022. For flexibility of scheduling this event, and anticipated follow-on activities, however, we would like it to cover up to 6 months. Guided Systems Technologies, Inc. will be responsible for completing the tests (in collaboration with Versatol, LLC), and therefore will require an STA to complete this work. Guided Systems Technologies, Inc. was previously granted STA #1817-EX-ST-2021 to conduct tests of a similar nature for the USMC at Quantico, VA, and to prepare for said tests at several commercial test locations in Georgia.
