Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Through its authorization, the STA will support UAS command and control, telemetry and payload systems as to surveillance of area activities. It will meaningfully assist the law enforcement and emergency service operations of LSP, federal partners, and local agencies

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The STA will support state, federal and local law enforcement and emergency service responsibilities associated with events, including the National Football League Super Bowl in New Orleans and Mardi Gras festivities. The STA will contribute to decreasing vulnerability to citizens and critical infrastructure. Significantly, the STA will enhance operational performance and increase readiness via the surveillance missions LSP will engage the UAS to perform.
