Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
In support of novel communications applications including IoT, Jacobs seeks to explore the viability of using existing and future Spire Global satellites in low earth orbit.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The proposed experimental special temporary authority will be used to transmit to Spire NGSO satellites up to twice per day, for approximately a total of 10 days within the STA validity period. During a six month period, beginning in late January/early February, the proposed experimental special temporary authority will be used to transmit to Spire NGSO satellites up to twice per day, for approximately a total of 10 days (each, a “Testing Day”) during this six month period, and for no more than five (5) minutes consecutively (or a maximum of 10 minutes per Testing Day).
