Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We are initiating a pilot program in collaboration with the Florida Department of Corrections to implement a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) aimed at enhancing prison security. A crucial component of our system is the utilization of the IRIS model drone detection radar from Robin Radar Systems. The deployment of this radar is pivotal to the program’s success, as it provides accurate detection of drones, enabling timely responses to potential threats or contraband deliveries. To validate its performance, functionality, and integration within the CUAS, an STA is essential. This temporary authorization ensures that our tests dont infringe on existing regulations while helping us ascertain the radars efficacy in a real-world prison environment.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Upon receiving the STA grant, we will initiate a series of controlled, real-world tests using the IRIS model drone detection radar within a specified prison facility managed by the Florida Department of Corrections. These tests will evaluate the radars range, accuracy, and ability to differentiate between drones and other flying objects. In parallel, we will test the radars integration capability with our broader CUAS infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and swift response mechanisms. Data gathered from these tests will be analyzed for insights into potential adjustments, calibrations, or system upgrades. Any and all operations performed under this STA will strictly adhere to the guidelines and frequencies specified by the FCC, ensuring no interference or disruptions to other licensed services in the vicinity
