Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
By the instant application (“Application”), BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. (“BAE Systems”) requests that the Commission Special Temporary Authority (STA) to operate the facilities specified in the instant Application for the period of April 10, 2023 through October 10, 2023.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Testing equipment. This experiment will involve preliminary testing of a transportable transmitter system – used to generate test signals for evaluation of other systems. In order to make efficient use of resources, these experiments will take place throughout New England, in varied environments. Exact site selection will depend on physical phenomena being investigated. The antenna will be primarily focused around near/magnetic-field generation. The primary set of experiments that will be performed during the duration of this STA will inform future activities.
