This operation will temporarily use 3 C-V2X devices along a stretch of rural Ohio Roadway and will be a non-recurring service where a regular authorization will not be appropriate. Therefore, this operation shall satisfy the circumstances where the STA should be granted.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
This operation will include 2 C-V2X OBUs operating per 47 CFR §§ 95.3167-95.3189 and one C-V2X RSU operating per 47 CFR §§ 90.371-90.383 for a period of 6 months on a small section of rural Ohio Roadways. The project goal is to determine a correlation between Automated Vehicle signal awareness via vehicle sensor technology with SPAT data provided from the Traffic Signal Controller through the RSU.
