Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of several micowave frequencies for the purpose of providing support, security, logistics and coverage communications for the IRONMAN World Championship event at St. George, Utah. The actual event will take place on May 7, 2022; however, this request covers the period from May 4 through May 7, 2022 to allow for setup and testing prior to the event. Please note, some of the requested frequencies may be used while airborne at an altitude not to exceed 250 feet. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for several previous events. The number of frequencies and units requested is the minimum to satisfy the needs of this activity. This taking into consideration that all frequencies may not always be available due to other users.
