Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
4RF USA, Inc. (Henceforth, “4RF”) is requesting an expermintal STA under CFR 47 Part 5 “Experminental Radio Service,” more specifically, CFR 47 §5.61 of the FCC Regulations to allow operations for a period not to exceed 90 days. The proposed operations will be used to field test a planned software update, which is a Type I permissive change as defined in CFR 47§ 2.1043 (b)(1) which states: A Class I permissive change includes those modifications in the equipment which do not degrade the characteristics reported by the manufacturer and accepted by the Commission when certification is granted. No filing is required for a Class I permissive change.
