Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The Air Force has contracted Cubic to perform a demonstration of the High Capacity Backbone (HCB) system in the April to September 2022 timeframe. A STA is necessary for Cubic to operate radios in the Ku (14.4-15.35GHz) band for the demonstration.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Cubic plans to perform a demonstration for the Air Force of the HCB system with Halo and Mantis nodes. Frequency authorization is requested to complete practice/dry run testing and system demonstration in the April to September 2022 timeframe. For this demonstration all data links will be terrestrial as all nodes are located on the Cubic campus, although the system is ultimately designed to operate between aircraft and ground terminals.
