Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Cosworth deploys a telemetry service for the NTT IndyCar series, which provides onboard diagnostic data to the teams and safety & GPS positional data to the series. Cosworth requires usage in the 3650 - 3700 MHz band and understands the band has been redesigned with the new CBRS introduction. Due to the introduction of CBRS, Cosworth needs an STA in order to continue operation for the 2021 race season to be afforded some protection against interference, which could pose a safety issue to on-track racing activity. Cosworth will be developing a replacement system throughout the 2021 season to be deployed for 2022.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  This WiMAX system provides the NTT IndyCar series with wireless telemetry data from each car and safety vehicle while on-track. The data is primarily used by the teams to collect onboard vehicle data and by Race Control. With this system, Race Control is able to know the exact location and operational status of each IndyCar. In the event of an accident, Race Control are able to relay this information to the safety personnel and divert race traffic away from the accident. IndyCar also uses this data for their interactive mobile app for fan interaction during the event.
