Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The STA is necessary to operate transmit testing equipment in support of the development of a communication MESH network for high-altitude balloon systems with a transmit frequency of 2380 MHz. The transmitter will be utilized by a mobile networked MIMO (MN-MIMO)
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of the operation is to conduct high-altitude balloon testing using the mobile networked MIMI(MN-MIMO) radios in the Southern AZ area. The ground stations with be land based mobile platforms in place for the duration of the balloon flights only and will be used to monitor the health and telemetry of the system and to maintain positive control for safety of the flight operations. The link will allow us to transmit command and control messages to the flight control unit as well as monitoring information from the balloon including high rate telemetry, navigation details and flight termination data necessary for coordination with the FAA ATC and ARTCC centers
