Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
STA is necessary to authorize telemetry and video transmissions for the Falcon 9 Launch Vehicle, in connection with the next International Space Station (ISS) Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission for NASA, currently scheduled for launch no ealier than (NET) 09 October 2012 from Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral AFS, Florida. This application covers transmissions from the Launch Vehicle sub-orbtial First Stage as well as its orbital Second Stage, both during flight and during pre-flight checkout.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Falcon 9 will be carrying a spacecraft with food and other supplies to the International Space Station. The purpose of the operation is to launch a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle from Cape Canaveral, carrying a spacecraft with food and other supplies for the International Space Station. The launch vehicle will also carry an Orbcomm OG2 prototype, as a secondary payload.
