FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION WASHINGTON DC Mike O'RieIIy Commissioner March 16, 2018 Mr. Lance Terry 9-1-1 Coordinator State of Oklahoma P.O. Box 53365 Oklahoma City, OK 73152-3365 Dear Mr. Terry: Thank you for your recent letter addressing why the state of Oklahoma did not respond to the Commission's inquiry on whether 9-1-1 fees are being diverted to other functions. I sent my original letter to your state, along with six other states and territories that did not provide this self-reported information to the Commission, for purposes of understanding what could have possibly prevented the submission of information sought by the Commission to meet its statutory obligation. I am pleased to learn that Oklahoma seeks to facilitate the Commission's information collection process in order to provide a fulsome report on this topic, and even more pleased to hear that the State does not use 9-1-1 funds for other purposes. Based on your response, it seems as though your State is properly prioritizing Next Generation 9-1-1 services and 9-1-1 management. I look forward to working with you on improving and enhancing 9-1-1 features in Oklahoma and nationwide. Thank you again for your prompt response. Michael O'Rielly 445 12TH STREET SW WASHThGTON.
