FCC ANNOUNCES TENTATIVE AGENDA FOR DECEMBER OPEN MEETING
(Washington, D.C.) – Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski announced 
that the following item will be on the tentative agenda for the open meeting scheduled for 
Tuesday, December 13, 2011:
Mitigating Loud Commercials Report and Order: The Commission will consider a Report and Order 
that protects consumers by implementing the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation (CALM) 
Act to prevent digital television commercial advertisements from being transmitted at louder volumes 
than the program material they accompany.  
The Open Meeting is scheduled to commence at 10:30 a.m. in Room TW-C305, at 445 12th Street, S.W., 
Washington, D.C. The event will be shown live at FCC.gov/live.
