Leaders from industry, government, academia, and the investment community will focus on mobile broadband’s potential to improve productivity, create new jobs, and ensure U.S. leadership in the global economy. The Summit will feature a panel of experts to discuss concrete ways in which high-bandwidth mobile broadband services will benefit key economic sectors like energy, healthcare, transportation, and education. A second panel will discuss novel policy approaches to meet the growing spectrum demand so that those benefits can become a reality. Additional information regarding the spectrum summit and an official agenda will be released prior to the event. The workshop will be open to the public; however, registration will be limited to the seating available. Those individuals who are interested in attending the forum may pre-register by sending an email to SpectrumSummit@FCC.gov. Those who pre-register will be asked to provide their name, title, organization affiliation, and contact information. The deadline for pre-registration is October 19, 2010.
