COPPS ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL STAFF CHANGES In connection with a number of additional staff changes announced today, Acting Chairman Michael J. Copps stated: “I want to thank the excellent FCC staff who are taking on new responsibilities to help address the many important challenges before the Commission and to offer my thanks to everyone for their public service. Their contributions to the Commission are greatly appreciated.” In an effort to inform both those at the Commission and the general public, the following staff changes within the Commission were announced today: Julie Veach will serve as Acting Bureau Chief, Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB). Ms. Veach currently is Deputy Chief, WCB, and Acting Chief, Competition Policy Division, WCB. Dana Shaffer, Chief, WCB will become Deputy Chief, Enforcement Bureau (EB). William Dever will serve as Acting Chief, Competition Policy Division, WCB. William Davenport, Assistant Chief, EB, has been promoted to Associate Chief, EB. Anthony J. Dale, Managing Director, is currently on leave and will leave the agency in the next several weeks to pursue other interests. Suzanne Tetreault, currently in the Market Disputes Resolution Division, EB, will become Acting Deputy Bureau Chief, Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB). Nicole McGinnis, Deputy Chief, CGB, will become Assistant Division Chief, Spectrum and Competition Policy Division, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Jeff Cohen, currently Senior Legal Counsel in the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB), will become Acting Deputy Bureau Chief. Erika Olsen, currently Deputy Bureau Chief, PSHSB, will become Special Counsel to the Bureau Chief. Carol Simpson, formerly on detail to the Office of Representative Jane Harman, has returned to PSHSB and will serve as Acting Associate Bureau Chief. Michael S. Perko, Chief, Office of Communications and Industry Information, Media Bureau, will serve as Acting Director, Office of Legislative Affairs.
