JUNE TAYLOR TO SERVE AS CHIEF OF STAFF FOR THE CONSUMER & GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS BUREAU Washington, DC – P. June Taylor has been named Assistant Bureau Chief for the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau where she will serve as “Chief of Staff.” She succeeds Barbara J. Douglas who has been named Director of the FCC’s Office of Workplace Diversity (OWD). Taylor joins CGB from her position as an attorney with the Office of General Counsel for the Western Area Power Administration, U. S. Department of Energy. While at Western, Taylor successfully defended the agency in litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Merit Systems Protection Board. K. Dane Snowden, Chief of CGB, said, "June will be a great addition to CGB. In addition to her strong management skills, she brings a wealth of experience from the highly complex regulatory arena.” Snowden added “I want to thank Barbara Douglas for the work she has done in CGB. She played a crucial role in the challenging reorganization of the CGB. I wish her every success in her new position.” Prior to federal service, Taylor clerked for the Honorable Warren O. Martin and the Honorable Lawrence A. Manzanares of the 2 nd Judicial District, Colorado District Court. She also served as a Judicial Fellow to the Colorado Supreme Court. Taylor is a cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of New Mexico. She received her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law where she was President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Articles Editor of the Transportation Law Journal. - FCC - 1
