("US West") and three New Mexico telephone companies filed a joint petition for waiver of the definition of "Study Area" as set forth in the Appendix-Glossary of Part 36 of the Commission's rules. The proposed transfer of exchanges and modifications of study area boundaries have been ap­ proved by the New Mexico State Corporation Commission in an order released on October 5, 1995. In a Public Notice (DA 95-2331) released November 24, 1995, comment dates regarding the Leaco, Roosevelt, Tularosa, and US West joint petitio" were established. Comments were due on December 18. 1995 and Reply Comments were due January 4, 1996. In a Public Notice {DA 96-2) released January 11, 1996, the FCC's Managing Director announced that all filings due during the period when the Commission was closed due to lack of appropri­ ations (December 18, 1995 to January 5. 1996) or because of weather (during the interval from January 8, 1996 to January 12, 1996) would be due no later than 5:30 p.m. on January 16, 1996.
