Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 16-133 Released: February 5, 2016 DEADLINE ESTABLISHED FOR PETITIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION OF THE COMMENCING OPERATIONS REPORT AND ORDER GN Docket No. 12-268 Petitions for Reconsideration Due: February 29, 2016 On October 22, 2015, the Commission released the Commencing Operations Report and Order, which defines when and in what areas 600 MHz Band wireless licensees will be deemed to “commence operations” for the purpose of establishing when the secondary and unlicensed users must cease operations and vacate the 600 MHz Band in those areas. 1 The Commission published a summary of the Public Notice in the Federal Register on January 29, 2016. 2 Pursuant to Rule 1.429(d), parties have thirty days from the date of publication in the Federal Register to file a petition for reconsideration. 3 Accordingly, the deadline to file petitions for reconsideration of the Commencing Operations Report and Order is February 29, 2016.
