COMMENT ON SERVICE RULES GOVERNING PUBLIC SAFETY NARROWBAND 
OPERATIONS IN THE 769-775/799-805 MHZ BANDS

On April 1, 2013, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in PS Docket No. 
13-87 seeking comment on proposals to amend the Commission’s rules in order to promote spectrum 
efficiency, interoperability, and flexibility in operation of 700 MHz public safety narrowband systems 
(769-775/799-805 MHz).

  The 700 MHz Narrowband NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply 
comments at 60 and 90 days after publication in the Federal Register.

On April 19, 2013, the Office of the Federal Register published a summary of the 700 MHz 
Narrowband NPRM and associated comment and reply comment dates.

  Accordingly, comments must be 
filed on or before June 18, 2013; and reply comments must be filed on or before July 18, 2013.
