Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 13-1251 May 30, 2013 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 1 (ALABAMA) 800 MHZ PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING General Docket 90-280 The Region 1 (Alabama)1 800 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 24, 2013, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Calhoun County Emergency Operations Center, 507 Francis Street West, Jacksonville, Alabama. The agenda for the meeting includes: § Call to Order § Election of Officers § Alabama Plan Status § Alabama Regional Communication System request to modify the 800 MHz Plan2 § Adjournment The Region 1 800 MHz RPC meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 1 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz band within Region 1 should plan to attend.
