Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 13-1092 Released May 14, 2013 CHAIRMAN GENACHOWSKI ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW MUNICIPAL AND TRIBAL REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE Today Chairman Julius Genachowski announced the appointment of Sonja Reece and Susie Allen to fill open seats on the Intergovernmental Advisory Committee (IAC), bringing the IAC to its full strength of fifteen members.1 Sonja Reece, Mayor Pro Tem and Council Member of the Town of Normal, Illinois, has been appointed to fill the open municipal seat, and Susie Allen, Information Technology Division Project Manager of the Colville Confederated Tribes in Nespelem, Washington, has been appointed to fill the open Tribal seat. The IAC’s mission is to make recommendations to the Commission on the many communications issues affecting local, state and Tribal governments that are within the jurisdiction of the Commission. The current IAC term commenced with its first meeting in December, 2011 and will conclude with its last meeting in December 2013.
