Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 12-1690 October 22, 2012 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 13 (ILLINOIS) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETING PR Docket No. 91-228 The Region 13 (Illinois)1 Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold a joint planning meeting on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the 700 MHz and 800 MHz NPSPAC RPCs will convene at the Illinois State Police Central Headquarters, First Floor Conference Room, 801 South 7th Street, Springfield, Illinois. § The purpose of the meetings is to review pending 800 MHz and 700 MHz applications and to address any outstanding issues. Both Region 13 Public Safety RPCs’ meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 13 may utilize these frequencies. To ensure that RPC meetings consider each agency’s future spectrum needs in the allocation process, it is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 13 should plan to attend.
