S2812SAT-MOD-20110525-00099 E Effective Date: 08/26/2011Grant of Authority Modification Satellite CD Radio LLC Nature of Service: Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service On August 26, 2011, the Satellite Policy Branch granted, with conditions, the application of Satellite CD Radio LLC to modify its authorization to operate its Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) space station, FM-6, in the 2320-2332.5 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 7050.5-7072.5 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Specifically, Satellite CD Radio is authorized to operate FM-6 at the 116.15° W.L. orbital location, instead of at the previously authorized location of 115.2° W.L. In addition, Satellite CD Radio is authorized to conduct in-orbit testing of FM-6 at the 120.50° W.L. orbital location for a thirty-day period, commencing twelve days following launch, and, upon completion of that testing, to conduct telemetry, tracking, and telecommand operations necessary to relocate FM-6 from 120.50° W.L. to 116.15° W.L. Accordingly, Satellite CD Radio is authorized to conduct TT&C operations using the frequencies of 2321.5 MHz, 2322.0 MHz, 2330.5 MHz, 2331.0 MHz, 7052.0 MHz, and 7056.0 MHz, both to support in-orbit testing operations at 120.50° W.L. and to relocate FM-6 to 116.15° W.L. after the completion of in-orbit testing.
