(PRTC)1 requesting that the Commission reconsider its decision declining to establish a new universal service high-cost support mechanism for non-rural insular carriers.2 The Commission concluded that dramatic increases in telephone subscribership in Puerto Rico over the last several years made it unnecessary to adopt a new high-cost support mechanism for non-rural insular carriers as proposed by PRTC. Pursuant to section 1.429(e) of the Commission’s rules, interested parties may file comments 15 days after the date of publication of this public notice in the Federal Register and reply comments 25 days after the date of publication of this public notice in the Federal Register.3 All pleadings are to reference WC Docket No. 05-337.
