Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 10-1955 Release Date: October 12, 2010 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR FILING OPPOSITIONS TO SOUTHERNLINC PETITION FOR RECONSIDERATION TO OCTOBER 14, 2010 WC Docket No. 05-337; CC Docket No. 96-45 On September 3, 2010, the Commission released the Corr Wireless Order, which addressed a petition requesting review of a Universal Service Administrative Company decision.1 On September 30, 2010, SouthernLINC filed a petition for reconsideration of the Corr Wireless Order,2 and on October 4, 2010, Allied Wireless Communications, Inc., et al., did as well.3 Pursuant to section 1.106 of the Commission’s rules, oppositions to the SouthernLINC petition would be due on October 12, 2010, while oppositions to the Allied petition would be due on October 14, 2010.4 In order to avoid unnecessary duplication of efforts by parties filing oppositions to the two related petitions, the Wireline Competition Bureau extends to October 14, 2010, the deadline for filing oppositions to the SouthernLINC petition.5 This will permit parties to address both petitions in a comprehensive and unified manner.
