Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 10-1460 August 6, 2010 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ NPSPAC MEETINGS The Region 24 (Missouri) Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two consecutive planning meetings on Thursday, September 2, 2010. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC will convene at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters, Second Floor Conference Room, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: § Welcome § Old Business o Approval of April 13, 2010 700 MHz Meeting Minutes o Approval of agenda o Address other pending Region 24 700 MHz business issues § New Business o Discussion of 700 MHz applications pending before the Committee o Implementation of 700 MHz interoperability channels and consistency with FCC’s consolidated narrowband channel plan o Discussion of 700 MHz low power analog channel use and regional fire ground 700 MHz channels o Discussion of other 700 MHz issues o Discussion of 700 MHz broadband o Opportunity for questions and comments o Adjournment Immediately following the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting, the 800 MHz Public Safety RPC will convene at the same location. All eligible public safety providers in Region 24 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 24 should plan to attend.
