MEDIA BUREAU EXTENDS THE BIENNIAL FILING DEADLINE 
FOR THE COMMERCIAL BROADCAST OWNERSHIP REPORT (FORM 323) 
MB Docket No. 07-294, et al.
Filing Deadline:  January 11, 2010
On October 30, 2009, the Media Bureau announced that OMB had approved the proposed 
revisions to Form 323 adopted as a result of the 323 Order and the Commission’s reconsideration of that 
Order.1 In addition, the Bureau set a biennial filing deadline of December 15, 2009.  The Bureau also 
indicated that the form would be available on CDBS on or about November 16, 2009.
On its own motion, the Bureau extends the Form 323 filing deadline until January 11, 2010.  The 
Bureau is in the process of conducting final testing of the form and has delayed the release of the 
electronic version until the testing is complete.  To ease the transition to use of the revised form, the 
Bureau seeks to ensure sufficient time to complete the revised form once it is released for use.  Therefore, 
in order to give filers adequate time to prepare and file the report, we are extending the filing deadline 
until January 11, 2010.  We encourage filers to file the form any time between the date of the release of 
the form and January 11, 2010.2  
As soon as the electronic version of the form is available for filing, we will release a Public 
Notice to that effect and will provide the same information on the Bureau’s Form 323 webpage, available 
at http://www.fcc.gov/form323.  We encourage the public to continue to submit questions regarding the 
form and filing procedures to Form323@fcc.gov.  The Bureau continually is updating the Frequently 
Asked Questions page, which provides answers to many of the questions that have been submitted to 
date.

2 We are aware that several filers have recently filed the unrevised and outdated version of Form 323 in an attempt 
to satisfy the 2009 biennial filing deadline.  This version of the form is not acceptable for purposes of satisfying that 
filing requirement, and, accordingly, those filers must refile Form 323 using the revised form once it is released for 
use.
