- When I was registering for my FRN, I received a "duplicate registration" warning. What does this mean?
This means that the system found another registrant with the same TIN (Social Security Number or IRS-issued Employer Identification Number) as the individual or business you are attempting to register. The "duplicate registration" page will list the FRN(s) that match the entity you are trying to register only if a duplicate Employer Identification Number is being used. For security purposes, no FRN(s) will be listed for a duplicate Social Security Number. By clicking on each of these FRNs, you will see the name and contact information associated with the FRN, as well as the registration date and time.
You should determine if you want an additional FRN for the individual or business you are registering. If there is no need for another FRN, you should cancel the registration process. If you choose to continue, a new FRN will be assigned.

- What if I forget my FRN?
You can log in to the CORES system, with your username and password, and go to the Manage FRNs page to view all FRNs that are associated with your username.
You may also use the SEARCH function accessed through the FCC Registration-Login page. Follow
the search instructions. If you already have an FRN, your FRN, business name, and Registration Date should appear in the search results. Please make note of your FRN.
If you cannot find your FRN by using the search function, you may have to register and get another FRN. You can also contact the FRN Help Desk to assist you in your search.

- I understand that my registration information
is public. What information will the public see?
Because the public has access to the FRN search feature of the FCC registration web site, anyone could locate certain information about any registrant. The public will be able to see your FRN, business name, and registration date. Also, if you registered as a "business" (as opposed to an "individual"), your contact information will be visible to the public. If you registered as an "individual," the public will not be permitted to view your contact information. For security purposes, the Taxpayer Identification Number or Social Security Number provided for an FRN will never be displayed in the search feature.

- I have login numbers and passwords for other FCC electronic filing systems. Do I need to save or use these numbers and passwords anymore?
Each electronic filing system has a different login procedure and, depending on which system you want to access, you may have to continue using your existing login and passwords for that system. You will use your FRN-Password or Username-Password for any system that prompts you to log in with a FRN and password. You will use your Username and Username-Password for any system that prompts you to log in with a Username and password.

- Can I have more than one FRN?
Yes, you can have more than one FRN. A unique FRN is assigned to each registrant. If you register again, another unique FRN will be assigned to you. You may have a good reason to obtain another FRN. For instance, you may want an FRN for each line of business. However, if you have more than one FRN, you will be responsible for using the proper FRN for each transaction.
