Regulatory Fee Manager

Overview

To view assessed annual Regulatory Fees in CORES using an FCC Username, users must first ensure that the licensee FRN is associated to their FCC Username with ‘view Financial info’ permission granted. For instructions on associating FRNs to FCC Usernames, please refer to the help file titled “Associate Username to Existing FRN”.

The Regulatory Fee Manager allows users to retrieve assessed annual regulatory fees based on FRN, and manually enter regulatory fee data for filing and payment. Accessing CORES with an FCC Username allows users to easily manage regulatory fee filing and payments for all the FRNs associated to the Username with the ‘view Financial Info” permission.

Accessing Regulatory Fees with FCC Username

From the main menu (see Figure 1), select “Manage Existing FRNs | FRN Financial | Bills and Fees”, then select, “Regulatory Fee Manager” (see Figure 2)

Select the Licensee FRN from the dropdown list under the Assessments tab (see Figure 3). You can also type in the Licensee name or FRN in the search area.

If you cannot find the FRN in this list, it either means the FRN is not associated to your FCC Username, or it is associated but not with the “view Financial Info” permission. Contact the FRN owner or admins to update your association and permission levels.

If the licensee is assessed for annual regulatory fees for the current fiscal year, the fees will be summarized in the Assessment tab by service category and can be added to the Fee Summary tab. If you are making payments for more than one Licensee, you can view the assessed fees in the Assessments tab for one licensee FRN at a time, then add them to your Fee Summary (see Figure 5). You can make modifications in the Fee Summary tab.

You can view the details of each assessed fee by selecting the “View” option. If you would like to remove an assessed fee from this list, or a manually added fee, simply select the “Delete” option next to the fee.

To manually add a fee, select the “Add More Manually” button, then select the FRN, fiscal year, and service category. Follow the prompts to complete each entry.

To view your payment status and receipts, select the “Filing & Payment History” tab.

Electronic payments can take several days to process. Your payment status may show as “Authorized” upon submission. The payment is only complete once the status is updated to “Integrated”. (see Figure 7)

If a Payment was attempted but declined, you may re-attempt payment from the “Filing & Payment History” tab. Further, if you wish to make modifications, you can delete a remittance from the “Filing & Payment History” tab prior to payment, and start the filing over from the Assessments tab.
